COOLANGATTA TWEED HEADS CRIME STOPPERS HAILED A SUCCESS

12 months after its launch, the Coolangatta Tweed Heads Crime Stoppers branch is being hailed a phenomenal success.
Police say it’s been instrumental in catching criminals on the border.
“We are forever getting information that helps us to add pieces of the puzzle together to help solve problems are really necessary in our community.”
Today children from 27 primary schools were awarded prizes for designing mascots.
“I did an owl because they have big eyes and they can see around the world and they can see crimes you probably can’t see.”
Queensland wide, Crime Stoppers received almost 4,000 calls in July alone.
