Newcastle’s CBD will soon be home to the largest indoor function centre in the region.
Wests City, also known as the former Newcastle Panthers site, is planning to open a new convention centre later this year.
Called ‘NEX’ it will accommodate up to 2,400 people.
It’s hoped the centre will bring more visitors into the city.
