Merewether’s Jedd McKenzie has claimed the under 16 national title, at this weekend’s Australian Bowl Riding Championships at Bar Beach.
The teenager qualified in top spot in the early rounds and then again in the semi finals, before producing another great run in the six-person decider.
McKenzie will now prepare for contests in Western Australia and the US.
