The O’Farrell government could be faced with protests from farmers if changes aren’t made to its mining policy .
Yesterday the government released some modifications, enabling “independent, upfront and scientific assessment” of projects through a three-member panel.
But, New South Wales Farmers says it’s not enough – with the panel unable to stop damaging projects from going ahead.
The association says agricultural land and water must be protected from mining activity.
