BENEFIT NIGHT AT RACE TRACK FOR MAN KILLED IN FIGHT
A benefit night for the family of a man killed during a street fight has been organised at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club.
Scott Snodgrass died in May this year after his head hit the footpath when he fell during a punch-up near a taxi rank in the CBD.
He left behind a wife and four young children.
The 34-year-old didn’t have life insurance and spent his superannuation on medical fees for his daughter Sarah who has cycstic fibrosis.
Scott used to work as a security guard at the racetrack.
Simon Chladil from the Coffs Harbour Racing Club said, “it wasn’t uncommon for him to to be helping somebody out doing some handyman work around the place and that sort of thing so ah it was our turn to do something for Scotty.”
Singer Wendy Matthews and three local bands will play at the benefit next Saturday night.
