It’s the most successful stage musical ever, now The Phantom of the Opera is coming to Newcastle.
Metropolitan Players is among four theatre companies statewide awarded the rights to the production.
Director Julie Back says “there’s over 130 wigs alone and two wonderful costume designers sourcing from across Australia.”
All proceeds from the opening night at the Civic Theatre in three weeks will go to several local charities.
