Freemans Drive, west of Newcastle has been reopened after an earlier truck fire.
The truck carrying a load of Coca Cola caught fire near “The Gap” and also sparked a small bushfire.
It was one of several incidents keeping emergency services busy today.
At Metford, near the railway station, a small bushfire flared briefly, fanned by gusty westerly winds.
