Founder of the 21st Century Party and candidate for the New England Jamie McIntyre is considering taking urgent legal action against the Australian Electoral Commission if they refuse to add his party to the ballot papers.
Now that September 7 has been named as the election date, the party won’t be registered in time, forcing Mr McIntyre to run as an independent.
Mr McIntyre says the AEC is denying democracy by preventing voters from having a third party option.
