NEW JOBS AFTER WORKERS MADE REDUNDANT AT LOCAL MINE

70 new positions have been created at Downer EDI’s Boggabri Coal Mine just three months after 106 employees were made redundant.
Downer says it’s hiring because production targets at the mine will increase from 4.5 to 4.9 million tonnes per annum from October.
This will bring Downer’s total workforce at Boggabri to 320.
Those who were made redundant earlier this year are eligible to apply.
