Drivers near Bowraville can expect major delays from 8.30 tomorrow morning when Lanes Bridge closes for emergency repair works.
The bridge, which is due to be replaced with a new concrete span in coming months, will be closed for at least three days, while girder damage is fixed.
Drivers will be forced to detour via Macksville to enter Bowraville, adding an extra 50 kilometres to a round trip.
