A woman has been charged with poisoning a young girl in the Hunter.
The 32-year-old was arrested yesterday by the State’s Child Abuse Squad, after she allegedly gave a seven-year-old girl at least four doses of a sedative at John Hunter Hospital.
The woman was taken to Waratah Police station yesterday and charged with a number of offences including using poison to endanger a life.
She’s been granted conditional bail.
