Police are appealing for help after an elderly woman had her purse snatched in broad daylight in the state’s north-west.
Shortly before 1pm on Wednesday, an 85-year-old woman was walking towards the rear of a shopping village on Robert Street in West Tamworth, when a man on a bike rode towards her and snatched her purse, before riding away.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 25-years-old and wearing a white bike helmet with a black cap, a black jumper with black and cream coloured shorts, and Adidas ‘flip flops’.
The man was riding a green mountain bike.
The woman was not hurt during the incident.
