MAN CHARGED OVER UPPER HUNTER BREAK AND ENTER

A 26-year-old Cessnock man has been charged following an alleged break and enter in the upper Hunter on the weekend.
It will be alleged that around 2:30pm Saturday afternoon, three masked men entered a home at Cassilis, between Merriwa and Dunedoo, detaining a 43-year-old man.
The men allegedly proceeded to steal a significant amount of property, including firearms, motorbikes and a Toyota Hilux.
Investigation led police to arrest the 26-year-old at a home in Brown Street.
Following this arrest, officers executed a search warrant on the home, where items from the break and enter were found.
Investigations continue into the incident, with the man being refused bail to appear in court today.
