The New England women’s triples side has come a close second to Lightning Ridge in this afternoon’s Region 3 lawn bowls final.
Ursula O’Connell, Nanette Jemmison and Dawn Fuller managed to overcome a tough Central North squad in an earlier play-off.
But, the trio fell just short, going down to Lightning Ridge 20 shots to 10, after 18 ends.
Meantime, Central North took out the top spot in the fours division yesterday after beating Wee Waa.
