MALCOLM NADEN SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON

Former bush fugitive Malcolm Naden has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Kristy Scholes.
Justice Price also sentenced Naden to a minimum of 21 years for the murder of his cousin Lateesha Nolan.
Naden also pleaded guilty to a raft of other charges, including the indecent assault of a 12-year-old girl and the attempted murder of
a police officer.
Justice Price said Naden had psychopathic tendencies, suffered a personality disorder and was a high-risk of committing violent
offences in the future.
The sentencing comes nearly a decade after Naden went on the run in 2005.
His capture last year in bushland near Gloucester marked the end of one of the state’s biggest manhunts.
