BULLETS FIRED OUT OF GOLD COAST TAXI

Just weeks after his release from prison, an associate of the Bandido’s bikie gang has allegedly gone a violent rampage through Southport.

Police allege, just after two o’clock this morning, Leonard Toalei allegedly assaulted a taxi driver, before firing a bullet from a sawn-off shotgun, through the windscreen.

He’s also accused of hijacking a milk truck, and attacking a bus driver.

A taser was used to subdue him, then a police dog.

“The male person we have in custody is an associate of an outlaw motorcycle gang, he acted as an individual an individual alone inside the taxi.”

Southport court today heard Mr Toalei was on a return to jail warrant.

The case was adjourned until tomorrow.
