Hotels are full and restaurants booked out, and according to Hunter tourism experts, it’s shaping as one of our biggest holiday weekends yet.
But it seems no one told CityRail, with trackwork stopping services between Newcastle and Sydney, as well as the Hunter line to Scone.
According to the Australian Rail Track Corporation and Railcorp, the track maintenance was planned 12 months in advance, to ensure a safe and reliable network.
