Help tailored specifically to the needs of problem gamblers will soon be available in the Tamworth region.
$135,000 in federal funding means the Salvation Army Moneycare organisation will be able to set up a full-time program that specialises in problem gambling.
A counsellor will practise in the Tamworth region, as well as the wider area, including Inverell and Moree.
The Salvation Army expects there to be a strong demand for the service.
