FIRE DESTROYS ARGENTON HOME

A Lake Macquarie home has been destroyed by fire.

Emergency services were called to Piper Street at Argenton just after midnight, only to find the property fully engulfed.

It took seven fire crews to bring the blaze under control.

Neighbouring homes also felt the heat, but firefighters managed to contain the flames to one property.

Police are now investigating.
