A lifeguard was attacked at Burleigh this afternoon.
Witnesses claim he was verbally abused by a woman, who’d been told her dog was not allowed on the sand between the flags.
It’s understood, while sitting in his truck later, he was approached by a man who began punching him.
The attacker remains on the run.
