DAFT PUNK REVELLERS URGED TO STAY SAFE

The region’s residents are reminded police are out in force tonight, as 4000 party-goers make their way to Daft Punk’s international album launch in Wee Waa.
80 additional officers will be manning the event alongside the Barwon Local Area Command as part of Operation Hadrian.
“With these events, and history tells us that not everyone does the right thing, the intoxication – both alcohol and drug use – will be present among the large crowd. And that’s one of the things that police are out to enforce.”
Revellers are also being urged to plan a safe trip home, with extra highway patrol units targeting local roads.
