It was a sea of pink at Main Beach this morning with over 4000 people pounding the pavement for the Mothers Day Classic.
Some put in extra effort for the event, which aims to raise funds for breast cancer research.
“I’m doing it for my mother that died when I was 16, so she’ll be looking down laughing.”
Many made it a family event, while others took it a little more seriously.
“I’ve been the bridesmaid the last two years so I had no expectations today but always nice to come along with a win.”
