A local team has dominated more than 160 competitors, to finish first at this year’s Forster Adventure Race.
‘The Avengers’ pushed through the 67-kilometre course in four hours and 50 minutes.
“It was an honest race, yeah very tough. Byron came out in the swim nice and early. The run was my part. Got a bit of a lead there. Brad our mountain biker came through and cemented that lead and Shane finished really nicely.”
Melbourne’s James Pretto crossed the line minutes later, narrowly beating defending solo champion Jarod Kohlar.
“It was a pretty good feeling. I’ve been trying to beat Jarod for the last five years so it was finally my turn today. It went really well. I really enjoyed it.”
