I was appalled and disgusted on hearing the news item this evening regarding the elderly gentleman who vows to defend his property from mining companies.
It defies any sense of justice that this could happen to someone who owns this land and has lived there all his life. What a sad and pathetic indictment of life in this country today.
Unbelievable. How can you live on your land for decades and have someone else come in and tell you what to do with it over what? Someone else’s greed? We have plenty of other places in Australia we could try before taking prime farming land away. Where is the Aussie spirit? Fair dinkum I am disgusted
