Farrer Agricultural High School hosted Morning Tea this morning to help raise money for cancer research.
The month of May is dedicated to Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, with 600 events registered in the north west region.
Farrer have been holding theirs for eight years – and this year hope to raise around $8000.
The morning teas are one of the Cancer Council’s biggest fundraisers.
“Well over the past 20 years 110 million dollars has been raised through the Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. That money goes back into research, prevention advocacy and supportive services which are just so necessary when one in two people are diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.”
