Anticipation is building ahead of next month’s Centenary of Rail celebrations in Taree.
Tickets are now on sale at Taree Railway Station for rides in the 3-2-3-7 locomotive steam train, which will be involved in a re-enactment of the first train arriving at the platform in 1913.
The train will make a limited number of trips throughout the three-day celebration.
Premier Barry O’Farrell and other dignitaries are set to attend the official ceremony on May 11.
