Merewether surfer Ryan Callinan is through to the third round of the QS 6000 event in Brazil.
Meanwhile, clubmate Jackson Baker is in Hawaii, competing at the QS 3000 event at Sunset Beach.
Baker has made round four after taking down former world champion and two time event winner Sunny Garcia.
Baker held the lead for the majority of the heat before Hawaiian bounty hunter Billy Kemper snuck into first place.
It didn’t matter though, Baker had already secured his place in the next round.
