A section of Byron Bay’s iconic Cookie Company may be on the brink of crumbling.
An unpaid tax bill has prompted the Australian Taxation Office to issue part of the company’s manufacturing division with a federal court notice.
While it’s unclear how much money is owed, the cookie company maintains it’s dedicated to ensuring the continued success of the organisation.
The matter will go before court in April.
