Embattled coal baron Nathan Tinkler has put his Hunter horse breeding operation, Patinack Farm on the market.
Patinack Farm comprises of around a 1,000 hectare racing and breeding operation in the Hunter Valley, another 900 hectares of land in the Hunter Valley and 400 hectares near the Queensland Gold Coast.
Mr Tinkler says he is selling because he doesn’t have time to manage the business while spending most of his time overseas.
” Patinack Farm represents a terrific opportunity for a local or international owner to develop the business to be a world leader.” said Mr Tinkler.
In a statement from Patinack Farm the company said the decision to divest the operation will allow Tinkler Group to focus on its core operations – spanning resources, port and rail infrastructure and property.
The Newcastle Knights have released a statement saying the sale will have no impact on the club or the Newcastle Jets.
