COUNCIL REPLACE BROKEN PUMP AT NEWCASTLE BATHS

It’s been broken for weeks, but part of a pump which lets water flow through the Newcastle Baths will be replaced later this week.

Swimmers noticed the water getting increasingly dirty just before Christmas.

“We’re expecting the part to arrive and be installed this Friday to rectify that issue at the baths, that’s in addition to the ongoing cleaning schedule at the baths.” – Nick Kaiser, City of Newcastle Spokesperson.

Council workers have been physically flushing water in and out every day since the breakage.
