A burst water main in Ballina this morning gave the owner of this white van quite the fright.
The vehicle was parked on the corner of River and Martin streets in the CBD, when the main partially erupted beneath it.
A section of the road opened up, swallowing the wheel on the front passenger side.
It took police only five minutes to tow the un-occupied van to dry ground.
