The people of Beresfield have turned out in force at a rally to save their swimming pool.
Around 500 people were there to send a clear message to Newcastle City Council.
The pool, along with Stockton pool, is in council’s sights to be either closed or sold, to help alleviate the city’s worsening financial situation.
