The board of Kyogle’s Community Cinema has just over two months to raise enough money to save the town’s only movie theatre.
This month, film stock turned digital, and $55 000 is needed to upgrade the cinema’s projection equipment.
A fundraising party will be held at the theatre on Saturday evening.
So far $16 000 has been raised to purchase the new equipment.
Current film stocks are expected to run out at then end of June.
