A 22 year-old New Lambton man has been refused bail, charged over the armed robbery of a service station near Taree this week.
Police allege the man entered the Caltex on Manning River Drive early Tuesday morning, armed with a knife.
They say he then approached an employee working behind the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes.
Police have also charged the man over the attempted robbery of a bowling club at Windale last Friday.
He’s due to face Taree District Court next week.
