A driver trapped in his car after an accident west of Bowraville overnight is now recovering in hospital.
The 55-year-old man had been travelling alone in the car which left the road and rolled down an embankment.
A Fire and Rescue team managed to free him just before midnight but it’s thought the crash victim spent up to three hours trapped under the vehicle before help arrived.
The man’s now recovering from serious leg and hip injuries after being flown to Coffs Harbour Hospital in the Westpac Helicopter.
