Police are appealing for information, to identify the body of a woman, that was found on the banks of the Hunter River at Aberglasslyn this morning.
Police were called to the Melville Ford bridge crossing on Aberglasslyn Road at around 8 o’clock.
The female is of caucasian appearance, aged between 20 and 30, of skinny build with blue eyes and brown hair.
She also has a piercing on the top left hand side of her lip.
When found the woman was wearing a purple t-shirt with pink writing on it and denim jeans.
Her death is currently being treated as suspicious.
