Beatlemania was alive and well in Port Macquarie today, with the inaugural Beatles Festival.
Rain forced the crowds indoors, but it didn’t stop them embracing one of the most popular bands of all time.
“Parkes have got the Elvis festival, Tamworth have got their country and western weekend that they have and we thought Port Macquarie should have a music festival as well – who better than The Beatles?”
Cover bands played the classics, while market stalls had memorabilia and retro goodies on offer.
