WOMAN SUFFERS SPINAL INJURIES

A woman has been seriously injured by a lounge which was allegedly thrown from the first floor balcony of a Tamworth hotel overnight.
Police say a 43-year-old woman was on the ground floor when a two seater lounge was thrown over the railing.
She suffered spinal injuries and was taken to Tamworth hospital before being flown to John Hunter.
A 32-year-old Ballina man and 27-year-old man from Queensland were arrested and charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm, and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Both were refused bail, and will reappear before Tamworth Local Court on Monday.
