Moving house took a hair-raising turn for a young couple at Banora Point this morning.
The Jeep they were using to tow furniture skidded down a very steep, slippery drive-way, hitting a large rock, before overturning – trapping them inside.
“The driver and the passenger have told us when the vehicle did tip over it was basically a fairly slow tip, probably due to the trailer on the back, as a result they were able to brace themselves before it did go onto it’s side. I’d imagine the last few seconds wouldn’t have been very pleasant.”
Fire-fighters smashed the front windscreen to free the pair.
Neither was injured.
