CYCLISTS DO BIT FOR GLOBAL POVERTY

A trio of cyclists in their mid-50s have decided not to take global poverty, lying down.
The men stopped into the Gold Coast this afternoon, on the return leg of their Sydney to Sunshine Coast ride.
The trip, by Anglican Aid, aims to increase awareness about Australia’s ability to help less fortunate countries.
“There are something like a billion people living on less than $1.25 a day. There are something like 20,000 children dying everyday from preventable causes.”
They’ll ride into Alstonville tomorrow.
