Police have seized several unregistered semi-automatic rifles from a Hunter property, including one that was stashed in a cave.
Officers searched a Putty property, finding a rifle and a shotgun with ammunition and magazines in a small shack on Putty Valley Road.
Another semi-automatic rifle was found in a small cave on the property.
The firearms will be destroyed and no charges have been laid as the owner is deceased.
