WORK STARTS ON NEW GRAFTON LIBRARY

Work has begun on site preparation for Grafton’s new $8-million library.
Last week’s flood forced the postponement of a sod turning ceremony, which will be conducted in the near future.
Scheduled for completion in 2014, the new centre is being built above part of the Pound Street car park.
The two-storey library will feature increased floor space and allow for more displays and the expansion of collections.
Page MP, Janelle Saffin, lobbied for the project before the last federal election.
