MAN HIDES FROM POLICE IN BOOT OF CAR AFTER ARMED ROBBERY

A man was discovered hiding in the boot of a Holden Commodore, days after allegedly robbing a service station at knifepoint, about 40km south west of Tamworth.
It’s believed the 24-year-old man demanded money from a service station on Single Street in Werris Creek on Saturday night.
Police tracked him down to a home less than a kilometre away on Henry Street, and arrested him on Tuesday afternoon.
He was charged with armed robbery, among other offences, and will appear in Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday.
