EIGHT RECEIVE AUSTRALIA DAY HONOURS

Eight Mid North Coast residents received the Medal of the Order of Australia.
Coffs Harbour’s Nancy and Thomas Strickland were recognised for their service to the community, most notably their involvement in establishing the state’s northern branch of Camp Quality.
Glenreagh resident Elizabeth Webb and Sawtell’s Betty Wright have also been recognised for their contributions.
Further south, Taree residents Pamela Archer and Hugh McCrindle were honoured today.
Former Great Lakes mayor John Chadban was also among the recipients, as was Forster’s Wilbur Cross.
