POLICE OUT IN FORCE THIS LONG WEEKEND
From midnight tonight, police will be out in force, targeting drivers doing the wrong thing over the Australia Day long weekend.
The state-wide police blitz called Operation Safe Return will see extra officers patrolling the roads, nabbing motorists for speeding, drink driving and seatbelt offences.
Double demerits will apply until midnight on Monday.
