Tamworth’s Tamara Private Hospital has been crowned Australia’s best private hospital, according to a survey conducted by a leading health fund.
The study analysed more than 17,000 patient satisfaction responses.
CEO Annette Arthur says the hospital’s secret to success is its staff.

Ms Arthur says she’s relieved the hospital’s controversial decision to close its maternity ward hasn’t affected patient care.
“It was just a stage that Tamara got to that there had to be a safe and business decision made. We’re now in the process of got builders pulling walls out, and we will have a rehabilitation unit open we hope by the end of February.”
