POLICE CALL FOR FATALITY FREE EASTER HOLIDAY

More than 2,500 breath tests will be carried out in the Manning region this long weekend, as police launch their annual road safety campaign.
With thousands expected on the roads along the Mid North Coast, officers are renewing their warning for drivers to act responsibly.
The first three months of 2016 has produced some concerning statistics in the Manning.
“we’ve had 54 major crashes with one of those resulting in a fatality and out of those 54 crashes we have had 34 people injured,” Manning Great Lakes Highway Patrol Michael Martin said.
Operation Tortoise will target speed, fatigue and drink driving.
Double demerit points will be in place until Monday night.
