Hunter Sports Group CEO Troy Palmer arrived for a meeting a short time ago, which could decide whether Nathan Tinkler remains the owner of his most prized possesion, the Newcastle Knights.
“Are you confident the meeting will go well?”
“Yeah why wouldn’t it. Can’t see it being a problem at all..” HSG CEO Troy Palmer said.
“What has Nathan had to say, have you been in touch with him? I talk to Nathan all the time and he’s committed to the Knights as ever before…thankyou”
The Knights Members Club Board requested the meeting amid fears Mr Tinkler may not meet financial deadlines agreed to when he took over the club.
It comes after the tax office started legal proceedings to recoup $3.19-million, owed by the Knights, Jets and HSG.
“I wouldn’t think it’s the end of Nathan Tinkler’s reign, he’s been bobbing around several years now.” Chairman of the Knights Members Club Board, Nick Dan said.
