MURDER CHARGE AFTER VIOLENT CENTRAL COAST HOME INVASION

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man involved in a violent home invasion on the Central Coast last month.
Just before midday on October 26, 53-year-old Bill Gogos was found in his Hamlyn Terrace home with serious head injuries.
He later died in Gosford Hospital.
This morning police charged an 18-year-old male with murder, special aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence that inflicted grievous bodily harm.
Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command Crime Manager Detective Inspector David Waddell said the investigation is continuing.
“This was a disturbing offence as the man appears to have been the innocent victim of a break and enter offence who disturbed the offenders and was viciously assaulted and killed,” he said.
