Plans for a second hospital in Maitland are progressing, with the government now searching for suitable land.
The State Government has committed $20 million to the project to improve health services in the Hunter.
Member for Maitland Robyn Parker says a site will be decided on by the middle of next year.
“Expressions of interest are open for land owners, public and private, to say what they’ve got available in a large site for our new hospital in and around the Maitland area. It’s a fantastic new development, $20 million hospital planning process and it is underway.” Ms Parker said.
